watercolour window
at the sointula art shed
malcolm island, bc

being an artist, for me, means being in the flow of things and being ready for opportunities when they arrive. for the month of november i was up in sointula on malcolm island, working on a poetry book at a private writing residency. i started talking with kerri reid who runs the sointula art shed and she mentioned she had an unexpected opening in the window gallery. i mentioned that i had some framed work with me, and within the hour we were hanging a spontaneous exhibition. i love that i got to share my work in this small island community during my stay there.
